July 28, 2007:
Welcome to the 2007 season. I'm currently in
the process of adding all things 2007 to the website with the finishing touches
in place by the time band camp starts. Once again I expect to be living
out of state this season with Fridays off so the cost of travel will dictate my
schedule. Currently I will be around for the first day of band camp, the
parents preview and first football game.
I
haven't ordered the 2006 Indoor Guard video from Wildwood, but that's pretty
high on my list as well as the 2001 video. Thanks to Ron for reminding me
about that. Some other things I'm looking at for this year are a new site
design if I can find some templates or someone who wants to create a layout or
donate their time, and as close to a fully functional ordering system for photos
as possible. I'm going to push this more to cover the operational expenses
of all my ST and other sites as well as the cost of travel.
Check back for further updates as band camp approaches.
September 18, 2007:
The first photo sets are being posted now. Since I'm
doing the work quickly and remotely I will probably have to review them and make
some corrections and edits later on. I haven't reviewed any of my video
footage from the past few weeks but expect to start that process today.
Additionally, I will take any of the materials that I have from the field
ceremony at the beginning of the year and post them on another site of mine.
Any additional ST items I have from the past that are on my personal site will
get moved to this site as well, check back in a few days for the link.
This site will probably serve as a live test of Gallery2 but it's pretty low
priority right now. More news later...
October 2, 2007:
Additional photo sets have been added over the past few
weeks including football photos with some high shots from HersheyPark Stadium,
senior recognition and the first competition. I am still working on video
clips but haven't been able to spend much time on it. I did film the show
at the last football game but haven't looked to see how the video turned out.
October
20, 2007:
Videos from Carlisle were posted last weekend, if you are or were part of the
STMB family and would like access to them please email your info to the
webmaster. These restrictions are to protect the show content and will be
removed at the end of the season. I finally had a chance to rescreen the
galleries from this season and removed some poor quality photos that shouldn't
have been posted. Just a note that I can't always screen for technical
accuracy but will try to edit anything obvious. See you next Saturday for
the Quakertown show, and look for the annual ACCs contest to be posted after
that weekend and enter for your chance to win a show DVD.
October 30, 2007:
High camera photos from Quakertown have been posted, and
the ACCs contest has been posted as well.
November 6, 2007:
I've only seen one entry for the ACCs contest so I've
decided to cancel it and probably won't run one next year. I'll put the
money into a new site design or some sort of other upgrade for the site.
Photos and videos from Chapters have been posted and I updated the stats and
scores accordingly. I will rescreen the chapters photos this week and
remove anything of poor quality.
TOB has posted the schedule for ACCs and we are on at
4:18pm Sunday. Please listen at rehearsal for scheduling announcements as
I will be meeting everyone at the show since it's close to home for me. I
will order the commercial DVD, 2007 Indoor Guard DVD and make the other videos
public after ACCs on Sunday.
November 11, 2007:
The ACCs contest was cancelled because there was only one
entry, but if you are interested in the answers you can email me. I saw a
little bit of Group 3 at ACCs today and spent time checking out the venue and
the field. I don't think my photos will be very good this year because you
can only enter the stands through the end zones and depending on what the crowd
is like I might be limited in where I can go to take pictures. I'll know
what things are going to be like when I get to the stadium this afternoon.
Congratulations to Mechanicsburg for their 3rd consecutive
win at ACCs in Group 3 and good luck to everyone in Chapter 6.
