The thing that is the most important and
requires the least effort is to always buy show tickets through us.
All ticket sales benefit the band directly and are essential in covering
travel and equipment repair expenses among other things. Tickets can usually be purchased
2 weeks in advance, and are available during rehearsal on show days
until they are sold out. Sorry, tickets can not be purchased or
reserved online.
Another easy way to
help is to participate in the various
fundraisers. The boosters may
conduct sales during football games or
throughout the year, especially for
uniform cleaning costs and to help
students fund trips. Fundraisers,
booster materials and merchandise are
not available for purchase online, but I
will try to at least post a notice of
any current sales or events as
the information comes my way.
Help is always needed to
get the band through the season. This includes sewing flags,
building and moving props, helping with food on show weekends, and other
tasks. Monetary donations will go toward the expenses of the band
including materials for uniforms and flags, props, instrument and
equipment maintenance and repair, and other things. If you would
like to help with the band or make a donation, please see a staff member
at rehearsal or use the "Contact Us" page to contact Mr.
Perbetsky. Monetary donations are not accepted
through the website, although I can certainly help you to get in contact
with the right people. The music boosters also fund annual
scholarships for senior music students. These scholarships are funded
through donations at events and concerts and any contributions are greatly
appreciated.
Equipment
crew members and runners are recruited as early in the season as possible,
but helpers are always needed, even if you can't make every game or
show.
Contribute
to the Site
The STHS Bands Website
is operated and is maintained almost entirely through the personal efforts
of the webmaster. Almost all photo work is now done digitally but I am
still interested in specialized film/photo developing services. I would appreciate
any help from individuals wishing to serve as photographers/videographers, or anyone
interested in submitting prints or digital/scanned photographs or videos.
Camera phone uploads are accepted as well, please make sure they are
appropriate for the site and send them to any of the Google voice numbers listed on the contact
page. I
would be especially appreciative to anyone who could submit photos and
information for shows or years not covered on the site, donate
commercial or non commercial videos or video clips of the band, and send me
news clippings and Football Friday features.
Since I am not paid to operate the site, the easiest thing you can do for me
is to buy photos and videos of the various events that I photograph.
Additional information and pricing is available in the photo gallery area.
I also offer photographic
services, prints, albums and
other special order albums and may occasionally make photos and/or other items available
for sale during special events. If there is something you are looking
for or have a special request for a photo or video, or want me at a certain
event, chances are I can make it happen. The professional equipment
used in the production of the site is rather costly, and technologies are
rapidly growing in cost and complexity along with the demands and
commitments required for a project this size.
If you're really
motivated or really like what you see and want to defray my costs for
new/upgraded equipment, check out my
equipment and supplies wish lists for
B&H Photo-Video.
Service related issues and contributions will be reviewed on an individual
basis, but if you have an extra desk in your office with a T1, metro
ethernet or other commercial high speed service that I can use for post production work after events, let me
know. High quality wireless/cellular broadband services would also be
helpful as I may be able to post content while waiting around at or
traveling to/from shows.
Content submissions are always welcome and are greatly appreciated and
encouraged. I would prefer that monetary
donations go to the music boosters first, but if you would like to
contribute toward the operation of the site, please contact me. Thank you.
